The task of the Trentino Sviluppo S.p.A. (Trentino Development) consists principally in promoting and developing the infrastructure of the Trentino Region with the goal of retaining a competitive edge within the business community.

The agency, recognised in 1992 by the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN) in Brussels as Full Member within its European Network, runs six Business Innovation Centres in the Trentino Region. These Centres are set up in modular units, equipped and ready for use, where the typical services of the B.I.C. are provided (business start-up, partnership with Universities and research establishments for technological transfer, financing for new technological systems, training schemes, information offices, equity capital, etc.)

The activity has been assigned to the Agency by the Autonomous Province of Trento which controls the company and provides full support.
